BRIEF SUMMARY Myles has everything going for him. He is a successful lawyer with a girlfriend who is his secretary, Roxanne. The only problem Myles has, he is unable to remember most of his childhood because of a tragedy. Soon after his relationship falls apart with Roxanne, he is soon looking towards Angelique for comfort, who is new to town and has secrets of her own. THOUGHTS This was a great read along with great storytelling. The author based this book off her Prize-Winning Screenplay that she later turned into this novel, The Secrets of Westbridge. After reading the book, it deserved and got the win for best script. Myles was laid back and sexy. Myles not being able to remember bits of his child hood made for an interesting storyline. Roxanne came off a little crazy with her behavior and stunts in the beginning before and after they broke up. He then meets Angelique, which brought about an awkward situation since Roxanne is his secretaryand his ex. As the story progress obsession, jealously and secrets starts to unfold between the characters. At one point, the book takes us throughout the past to explain certain events that occur throughout Myles's childhood. Reading this book made me felt as though I was watching a soap opera, there was so much drama. There was also some serious conniving, manipulation, scheming, and murder taking place while secrets were unfolding. At one point, I thought everyone was crazy. Between, Myles's father Justice, Roxanne, and Angelique; I truly did not know how the book would end and whom Myles would eventually end up with. The end came full circle and was explosive and entertaining. This book does not disappoint. FYI: book contains one rape scene and Myles father was evil. Story: VERY GOOD Intimacy: VERY GOOD Enjoyment: GOOD Kindle length: 4257

This book was recommended to me. I usually don't go for romantic mysteries, but I really got into this novel. I loved the hero, Myles, and found myself teary eyed at some parts. I also loved the twists and turns. And I really loved the steamy scenes. Hot! It had some real shockers at the end. What a book!
