Five years ago Elizabeth Piccioni's husband was arrested for being a serial killer. Her life suddenly turned upside down, she did what she thought was best for her newborn baby: she took her son and ran away to start a new life.

Now, living in a quiet part of the Midwest with a new identity, Elizabeth is ready to start over. But one day she receives a phone call from a person calling himself Cain. Cain somehow knows about her past life. He has abducted her son, and if Elizabeth wants to save him she must retrieve her husband's trophies -- the fingers he cut off each of his victims.

With a deadline of one hundred hours, Elizabeth has no choice but to return to the life she once fled, where she will soon realize that everything she thought she knew is a lie, and what's more shocking than Cain's identity is the truth about her husband.

Praise for THE SERIAL KILLER'S WIFE:

"This is a scary, thrilling, page-turning, race-against-the-clock novel if ever there was one, with a true shocker of an ending. Miss this one at your own peril." --Blake Crouch, bestselling author of PINES and WAYWARD

"An explosive summer thriller. Robert Swartwood is a sharp writer, his prose lean and mean as a razor blade. He notches up the tension from chapter to chapter like a master story-teller, keeping you reading long into the night." --The Man Eating Bookworm

A great book, a real page turner! Although the end felt a bit rushed, I certainly didn't see it coming!

Really great read! I was never disappointed or bored with the story, and I couldn't put it down. If you enjoy Blake Crouch or James Patterson's Alex Cross novels, I highly recommend this book!

What would you do to save your child? Clearly Elizabeth will do anything necessary. She turns out to be a character that is strong enough to do what it takes, while still retaining her humanity and compassion. She manages to fight through loosing everything and rebuilding a life for herself and her son only to be attacked just when she thinks she is safe. Even with that, she doesn't break down and give up, but continues on through more losses than anyone should be expected to deal with and betrayal to succeed in doing the right thing. Leaves me hoping 2 things, that if needed I could be that strong, and that I never need to be that strong. An excellent story from a writer that is still getting even better in his craft (I will love to see where he is in 2 years) and a twist that caught me off guard. Good job!

I highly recommend this suspense thriller! It was so addictive I read it in one sitting. I eagerly look forward to the next book by Robert Swartwood! The pacing is impeccable, and the story had me hooked right from the first page. I don't want to give away any clues to the mysteries. This is a well written, suspense with nonstop thrills, chills, and mystery. “Watch out Stephen King, there’s a new voice, and his name is Robert Swartwood. A dark, gritty thriller, The Serial Killer’s Wife is a sensational debut. Readers will relish this story’s many captivating, powerful, and compelling layers.

Great book. Reads fast so you won't want to put it down. Todd had me going back and forth...is he or isn't he a bad guy. Jim...wow. Everyone I was suspicious of was innocent and vice versa. Going to have to look for more books by this author.

Couldn't put it down. A new surprise around every corner.

Good book but must be a mess up in down loading on my nook because it appears the pages are mixed up. You can't jump to the grave yard on your knees in the dirt when on the next page you are hanging up the phone saying you need to go to the grave yard

This was a great book from start to finish.  ANY BOOK that has me going NO WAY OR WHAT THE...is a good book.  I love a good mystery/murder mystery ESPECIALLY  when with good twists and turns that make you go whoa.  This was my first book by this author and I was very impressed.  I started it and had a hard time putting it down and  could not WAIT to read again.  With so many books out there, to find one that has a great story, good characters and keeps you guessing is something and this was something.   I would definitely recommend it and will now try another to see if his books are as good.  GIVE IT A TRY...worth the read.
