    A Masterfull Death Metal Throwdown!

Skeptically, I bought Impending Doom's first album Nailed Dead Risen a couple of years back. I had never once heard of Impendind Doom before that, but I bought it because I noticed that they were with the Facedown record label, and I am a fan of a lot of groups from Facedown, including A Plea For Purging, For Today, Earth From Above, and Deathstar...just to name a few, so I figured it would be pretty good. It was indeed! Still, as it is with most starting bands, they needed to develop there sound just a little bit though. They have taken a giant leap forward on The Serpent Servant. I really like Impending Doom's brutal in your face death metal sound, and I had heard one of their new songs on Myspace, which really blew me away, so I was really anticipating this album. I went right out and bought it on release day, and it did not disappoint. I have already listened to this album about 4 times within an 8 hour time period, which says a lot. This album is a brutal, heavy hitting death metal masterpiece! I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys a good bit of heavy, in your face chaotic bliss!
