Dr. Evelyn Sims, a brilliant marine biologist, is being watched. Her husband's mysterious death at sea-with the only survivor of the Greenback telling a shocking, unbelievable tale-has thrown her personal life into chaos. Her scientific views are being scrutinized. Her husband's office and their home are investigated. Called in by the FBI to help solve the mystery, Evelyn is thrust into her toughest research project ever...and forced into a maze of deception and betrayal.

Micah Gregson, presently serving as the Coast Guard captain who rescued the Greenback, is determined to find out why a special unit at the FBI-the one assigned to cryptozoological cases-is involved.

Together Evelyn and Micah will uncover a plot more deadly than anything the ocean could ever produce. One that will either save Evelyn's life and redeem her career, or destroy everything she-and myriad others-stand for.

‎4:15 PM Just finished book. It's so good you have to keep reading and finish. I read until almost 2 AM then got up at 8:30AM (early for me) to read more. I got stopped with babysitting and lunch out with husband (It's his birthday!) and finally got to get back to it about 1PM. I really really enjoyed it and it's intriguing plot. I won't say alot about it so I don't ruin it for others. But I will say you won't want to put it down and in my book that means it's a book you want to read!

Reviewed by Author Anna del C. Dye for Readers' Favorite "The Serpent’s Grasp" is the best book I have read for a while and the most interesting Christian and mystery tale I have ever read. I really like the action mingled with the religious lessons within this book. It is an awesome mix between a search for God and high marine adventures. "The Serpent’s Grasp" is a very good mix for readers of spy stories and mysteries, and those who love clean books and don’t analyze the truth of every tale they read. Some books are just to enjoy. When Micah’s coast guard boat receives a distress call from a woman that says she has been attacked by a sea monster, all he could think was, “another loco in the sea.” That is until he started an investigation of his own. As a coast guard officer, he didn’t amount to a whole lot, but his past involvement with intelligence at a top level tells him that this attack was more than what met the eye. Soon, he teams up with the woman whose husband had been having an affair in the boat the night of the attack and had been killed by the creature. Betrayed and lost, Evelyn turns to all she has: her laboratory as a biologist. With the help of Micah and her assistant John, the three embark on the most fascinating and terror-striking quest. It may very well take their lives, but they won’t give in, and all they have to go on is a piece of meat and the love of God. This is a fast paced tale that will keep you guessing and turning the pages to the wee hours of the night. It is a great choice for readers who want to explore tales between the theory of evolution and that of the creation. In addition, it is excellent reading for young adults and adults alike. Kevin tops it off with a great plot full of twists and turns in every chapter.

The action grabs you and keeps you turning the pages! There are some thought-provoking questions raised re: truth and the intelligent design vs. evolution theory. The end is what I would call "socko". Good show and looking forward to the next one by this author.
