    Golf is More of a Mental Game than Most People Realize

    Darrin Gee has masterfully written a book to help all levels of the golfing world to achieve their maxium enjoyment of the game. Since the game is played with oneself you don't get information about how to out score someone else. What you do get is the seven principals to quiet the mind, become your own player and relax to enjoy the best golf you have ever played, whether you are brand new to the game (I am) or a seasoned swinger. In the first week following my finsihing and using the seven principals, I shaved 10 strokes off my former game! I have shared this book with friends who have had the 'AhhHa!' moment and taken double digits off their scores. Who wouldn't like that!! This is the first book I have read on the subject and it will be my last. Pick up the 127 page book, beautifully illistrated and written to easily understand and you too will enjoy the game of golf no matter how long you have been playing.

    How To Play with Inspiration

    I bought Darrin Gee's 'Seven Principles of Golf' for my Dad for Father's Day. I started flipping through it and to my great surprise, this was not only a golf book but a book on living. I read the entire book, cover to cover in one day and thoroughly enjoyed Darrin's insights into how playing an inspired game of golf is impacted by living an inspired life. Playing one shot at a time and savoring each precious moment of life spoke volumes. Thanks for taking the risk by living with passion and showing us the way. Now I am thinking of learning how to play golf.

    Seven Principles of Golf - a great read and re-read.

    Bought the book, read the book & then bought 5 more books to give as gifts. Plan to buy more if the folks who received books give me positive reviews.

    I have read many golf books from Harvey Penick to Ben Hogan and Gio Valenti. This book brought everything together and really put all in perspective. After reading the first chapter on balance the night I bought the book. I went out to play golf the next day and shot an 82 when I had been on a slump shooting in the mid to high 90's. I feel great and now I really have a positive mind set when I go out and play. Darin is a great person and even takes time to answer his emails. That is unheard of now a days, when someone that writes such a great book and is one of the best sellers. He seems to be very grounded!

    An excellent book on golf that focuses on where it counts...in your mind.

    Bobby Jones said the most important distance in golf is the five inches between your ears, or words to that effect. Mr. Gee has written a book that addresses just that issue. By being mindful, learning to focus, visualizing, having a good pre-shot ritual, you can improve your golf game. No swing mechanics, no mind-numbing swing thoughts, just using something you already have--your mind--to improve your game. Golf books, magazines, videos can be so comfusing not only because of conflicting information, but too much to think about. The body reacts much more quickly than the brain. If your brain is full of thoughts, your body gets confused and cannot respond appropriately. The result: inconsistency. Mr. Gee's book stays away from all that and works with the tools all golfers have, whether they be high- handicappers or scratch golfers. Mr. Gee opens the tool box that each golfer already has and shows the golfer how to use those tools to improve their game. Most of us go to the range and pound balls, but how many of us work on the inner game? Mr. Gee shows you how to do just that. Highly recommended! Do yourself and your game a favor...read this book.

    First Church of Golf

    I met Darrin Gee shortly after breaking 80 for the first time. My 10 year search for the 'Magic Bullet' to transform my game had wandered through a labyrinth of equipment changes, swing thoughts, practice drills, and inner game gurus. On my 'magic day', what finally worked was the mantra, 'one shot at a time.' And then I met Darrin Gee. He seemed to have distilled all the most important ideas that I had stumbled upon, into a concise, clear, and coherent synthesis. After working as his assistant instructor at the Spirit of Golf Academy for three years, I set off on my own to establish the First Church of Golf and to spread the 'good news' about Darrin Gee and his Seven Principles. I am convinced that ANY golfer who has the courage and commitment to explore his approach will not only improve his or her game but will also be led to the deeper truths that the game of golf offers the true believers.

    Golf - Improvement

    Can not locate any book in many years for my golf game. When I finished reading the first principle of 'Balance' and next day I applied it to my round of golf with excellent results, hitting every shot with much better and smooth swing, longer distances and my other 3 golf partners are equally excited for me. This book 'The Seven Principles of Golf' are extremely helpful for all golfers - HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN. Thank you greatly to Darrin Gee, your book will made us golfers very happy and enjoy playing many many more rounds. A FANTASTIC GREAT JOB!

    Another Great Book on the Inner Game

    If you've ever read GOLF IN THE KINGDOM or INNER GAME OF GOLF, then you'll want to add this book to your shelf as well. I wasn't sure at first because it looked more like a gift book (it's embossed with a cloth cover) rather than a solid golf book, but this is one of those times where the inside is just as good as the outside. Very reminiscent of THE LITTLE RED BOOK. It's a slim, easy read with great illustrations (Keith Witmer from GOLF DIGEST did the illustrations of Mr. Gee) - a definite keeper for the bookshelf.
