Meet the Author

Darrel Bird is the author of more than 30 short books. He burst onto the writing scene in 2009, and his mind is a veritable factory of yarns that span the genres. He discovered his love of writing when he accepted a challenge by friends to write a story, and he proceeded to write ‘The Biscuit Run’, completing the story in about four hours. “I kind of wrote it off the top my head.” Darrel says, with his slow southern drawl. From that story he quickly found his niche in the tightly wound format of the short book.An avid biker, he rides a 1700 CC motorcycle, and you will often find him on the back roads with his knees in the breeze.
