She has worked with organizations on 6 continents, including extensive work on large-scale change projects in South Africa since the mid-80's.
Her work has always focused on developing leaders and creating processes to guide the effective use of power by people in authority and by everyone at work (The Shadow Side of Power: Lessons for Leaders, The Age of Participation: New Governance for the Workplace and the World, Change Is Everybody's Business). She foresaw the shift to a more networked and participative world of work, designing processes and ways of thinking that help people work effectively across levels, organization silos, and value networks.
