Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.

The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better.
Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.
For romance writer Roxy St. James, living in Nocturne Falls also means a fresh start. And as soon as her unbearable ex signs the divorce papers, that new beginning will be a reality. Unfortunately, her ex doesn't seem ready to let her go and the subtle threats he's been making leave her no choice but to confide in her oh-so-handsome neighbor, who just happens to be a deputy with the sheriff's department.
But Officer Alex Cruz isn't just the law. He's also a panther shifter, a secret he's sworn to keep (along with the truth about Nocturne Falls) from the very foxy Roxy. Humans aren't supposed to know the town is filled with supernaturals. Then she starts seeing things she shouldn't and thinks she's losing her mind. His attraction-and concern-for her wars with the promise he's made.
Will his truth be more than she can handle? Or will it cause her to write him out of her life?

This is my favorite one yet. The series is great, tons of fun. One of my favorite parts is that even though the each book tends to be about a different character she finds away to let you catch glimpses of the other ones. The reader gets to see how other people are doing with out it being forced into the story. This really does feel like the stories of a small town.

Another Great Book In the Nocturne Falls Series! Loved reading this story about Roxy St. James and Officer Alex Cruz. An all around good read from start to finish. Also a faced paced story. Can't wait to read next book in this series.

The Shifter Romances the Writer By Kristen Painter A delightful paranormal romance that gives insight to an author's world. Or a storybook one anyway. Hopefully there are no stalkers in a real life author's situation, but it was enlightening to finding out it's not just writing, but marketing, organization, and media time that makes up an author's workload. I found the description of the book signing very familiar. Yes, I've gone as a fan several times. Off tangent? It was a sweet and magical romantic story in the town where paranormal is the norm. Very fun. And wouldn't it be fun to find out your best friend is a vampire? Would you freak out?

We heard of Roxy St. James as she went to school with Delaney Ellingham. Roxy is a romance writer of the paranormal nature. She is hoping for a fresh start in Nocturne Falls, leaving behind all of the bad (her ex), only bringing the good with her (her corvette, writing and the essentials). She buys a beautiful home next door to one of the sheriff deputies, Alex Cruz. We have also met Alex quite a few times in the past books. The two of them don’t start out on the best of terms but their attraction quickly turns that around. Alex is always the gentleman and Roxy is sweet, funny and learning to like herself again. We get to see what the other residents of Nocturne Falls are up to. Delaney’s pregnancy is going forward. Ivy Merrow is pregnant now, Shanna has hooked up with Alex’s brother Diego, and they moved in together. We also heard from the Valkyrie sisters, got to check in with Pandora. We also met a few other residents, like Agnes the book shop owner. Kristin Painter really spins a wonderful story. Honestly, if Nocturne Falls were a real place I would move to Georgia to live there. If you haven’t already read this series check it out, it’s fabulous. I can’t praise it enough. My rating is 5 stars. If you would like to see other reviews like this one, check out

I love this series. I like having the characters from earlier books included in each new story, its fun to be able to re-visit the characters and to see how they are doing. Roxie was great fun and so was Alex. Very good book & series -- looking forward to the next one!

Every time I read one of the Nocturne Falls books I feel like, yes, this one is my favorite! Then Kristen Painter writes a new one! This series is wonderful for so many reasons. First, the town is full of supernaturals and love can be found between them and humans. The stories are not rushed either, there is a natural progression of the relationship between the two main characters. Second, the author writes these very quickly and very well, so you don't have to wait a long time for the next one to come out. Third, the series is just fabulous and wonderful and heartfelt and I feel like one of Roxy's fans right now! I can not wait to see who she writes about next!

Roxy St. James is a writer of paranormal romance books, who has just moved to Nocturnal Falls. She is in the process of getting a divorce from her husband that she has been seperated from for over a year. Sexy, smoking hot, neighbor is a supernatural panther shifter who gives her a ticket when she takes her 69 corvette out for a drive. He is the one she turns to when her soon- to- be- ex keeps leaving notes and gifts that creep her out. It does not hurt that his mom is a huge fan. This is a great stand alone book, but if you have read any of the other books in this series, you can catch up with Delaney, Pandora, and eat at Howlers. I loved reading every book in the Nocturnal series and I am eagerly waiting on the next one.

I seriously want to move to Nocturne Falls, Halloween 365 days a year sounds perfect! This is the 6th story in the Nocturne Falls series, and I have to say they keep getting better. Every time I think I have my favorite Kristen puts out a new one and that one becomes my favorite. This is the story of Roxy and Alex. Roxy is a paranormal writer who is trying to get away from a bad marriage. Her friend Delany gets her to move to Nocturne Falls where she moves in next to Alex the sexy panther shifter police officer. She can't believe her luck, this guy looks like he jumped off the cover of one of her books! What I love about this series is the return of much loved characters in every story, you never know who you are going to see.It is like visiting old friends! This is such a FUN read! I cannot wait for the next book!

I couldn't put this book down it was so good. I literally read it in one sitting from 9:30 pm to just after 1 in the morning. This has to rank in my top 3 favorites to date in the Nocturne Falls series. I absolutely loved the insights it gives into a writer's world, and the story drew me in. The whole story was fun, and had a small mystery thrown in. A sure Must Read for any paranormal fan.

Great Book! This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter. I love this series, this book can be read as a standalone, but once you read this one you will want to go back and read the others. Nocturne Falls, is a town that celebrates Halloween 365 days of the year. The tourists love the show of vampires, werewolves, witches, etc. What they don’t realize is this is a haven for the paranormal creatures to be themselves. Roxy St. James is a paranormal romance author, she moves to Nocturne Falls after a bad breakup to start a new life. Alex Cruz is a sexy police officer who is a panther shifter and lives next door to Roxy. When Roxy starts getting threatening notes and other items, Alex is determined to protect her. This book has a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Say hello to some old friends and meet several new friends in this latest addition to Nocturne Falls. Alex is a panther shifter and Sheriff's deputy with mother problems. She wants grandchildren right NOW! Roxy is a paranormal writer with ex-husband problems. He won't sign her divorce papers. When Roxy, on the advice of her college friend Delaney, moves from New Jersey to Nocturne Falls, she buys the house next door to Alex, whose mother also happens to be one of her most enthusiastic fans. Actually, it seems most of the Nocturne Falls female residents are fans of Roxy's paranormal stories. While Ms Painter claims the story is not autobiographical, one can only hope that it is. And that the town of Nocturne Falls actually does exist. After all, the little red corvette exists. It's living in Roxy's garage. ^_^
