About the Author

Matt McCleery is the President of Marine Money International. He is also Managing Director of Blue Sea Capital, Inc., an advisory firm specializing in the arrangement of debt and equity financing for vessels. He can be contacted at mmccleery@marinemoney.com.

Hidekazu Morishima was born in 1941 in Hyogo Pref. After graduating from Kobe University, Economics Faculty, Hidekazu joined the trading house Nissho Iwai (now named Sojitz), and worked globally for 38 years in the shipping, ship financing and shipbuilding industry. In 2002, he was invited to manage Sasebo Heavy Industries, and took positions of president, chairman and advisor over 12 years, and retired in June 2014. Hidekazu has had a strong aspiration in helping the younger generation acquire global mindset. He has many friends in different countries, and some call him by the nickname, "Morris."
