I am not writing this to complain that I got second place. I am writing this because of Calypso's fate. When the rules were written, the author had already submitted their story. I enjoyed it and it made sense.

Chapter 1. Calypso looked at herself in the pond. She notices her beautiful gray eyes, her blonde hair, her gental skin. She has always known she was diffrent. Wherever she stepped, flowers bloomed. She could make plants grow. The sun shined brighter around her, and her voice was so enchanting that animals crowded around her, listening. She had never known her parents. She thought that maybe, they left her in these woods when she was little. But these woods were her home now. And this pond was her bath tub. She took off her long silky dress, folding it and placing it by a tree. She stepped in the water, the sun warming it for her. The birds tweeted loudly, warning her. She looked around and saw a person, a man, walking to the pond. She dived underwater, being able to breathe it. She looked up, seeing the man taking water from the pond. ''Oh no'' she thought. He saw her. She panicked, blowing bubbles. She heard the man say something, then he reached in to grab her. She was to gental to fight back. He pulled her halfway up, then saw she was naked. He was young and strong looking, with red hair and blue eyes twinkling in the light. He was wearing a brown sweatshirt a gray jeans with rips in them. She blinked, then said, ''hello, man. I am...calypso.'' He looked surprised when she talked, but then smiled awkwardly and said, ''umm, hi. I'm grant. And...you are naked.'' She got out of the pond, not thinking it was weird to be naked in front of him. She pulled on her dress, looked at him and smiled, the ran away, the wind carrying her away, away from...grant. away from the modern world. Calypso didn't know why, but nature always tried to keep her away from the world outside the woods. Was it for her own protection? She didn't know, but what she did know was that it felt good to fly above the woods, with birds at her side. She knew she was gifted. She knew she was, Calypso.
