Doody's Review ServiceReviewer: Dennis Mess, MD (University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine)
Description: This book is a beautifully illustrated technique manual for common shoulder surgery procedures.
Purpose: The authors wish to share their collective wisdom and experience for the most successful procedures about the shoulder.
Audience: The audience is orthopedic surgeons and residents.
Features: The most obvious feature is the excellent color drawings and intraoperative photographs.
Assessment: This book is the best of the technique manuals. Not only does it provide a visual guide, the excellent text provides indications, procedural steps, and post operative rehabilitation protocols. It is highly recommended for any practicing orthopedist and every hospital or training program library, even those with the larger shoulder reference works.
