Meet the Author

Debra L. Martin and David W. Small are brother and sister, and have been writing together since 2006. Combining their love for science fiction and fantasy, and their need to tell a good story, their collaboration was born. Throughout their lives, they have loved both fantasy and science fiction titles, and that love evolved into writing their own books. Being a retired marine with 21 years of experience, David infuses all the battle and fight scenes in their books with excitement and a dose of reality.

They have written two novels in "The Rule of Otharia" series, QUEST FOR NOBILITY and THE CRYSTAL FACADE. The third and final volume, THE KING'S LAST WORD, will be released in 2014.

Their newest release is THE SILVER CROSS, an urban fantasy. They are working on the sequel, SILVER DOUBLE CROSS, hope to publish it in 2013/2014.

In 2012 they released a new fantasy ASSASSIN'S CURSE in "The Witch Stone Prophecy". They are currently writing the sequel, WITCH'S CURSE, and it is scheduled to be published in 2013.

If you are a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, they have written 3 short novellas, PATH TO DESTRUCTION, THE RIGHT PATH and ZIA'S PATH in the "Dark Future" series.

Debra lives on the East Coast with her husband and 2 cats. David lives on the West Coast with his wife.

    Great Vampire Read!

    Lacey Gardner is a Fringe detective, and while her personal life might be a mess, she's good at the job. Lacey has but one mission--rid Boston of all vampires. Maybe then, that'll help her come to terms with what they did to her sister. But there's one thing Lacey hadn't counted on. Damon Harte. The guy is simply scrumptious. He's exactly the kind of hero romance readers love! And then there's Nic. Nic is just the worst kind of evil. I love to hate him. In my opinion, the war between Damon and Nic truly makes this book a fascinating read. If you love a good paranormal romantic suspense, I highly recommend this one!

    I love to read--almost anything--but if a book starts out slow a

    I love to read--almost anything--but if a book starts out slow and doesn't hold me, I'm probably not going to make it through the first couple of chapters. The Silver Cross was not one of those books. From the moment I clicked it on my Nook, I couldn't put it down.

    Lacey is punishing herself for her sister's death by screwing LOTS of men. And she hates vampires. In fact she's part of the secret team who hunts them. Then she meets Damon. Lots of suspense and unexpected twists in this great read!

    A great book for any vampire lover! I can't wait for the next book in the series.

    I loved the action right from the beginning of the book. It definitely got me hooked, and then I met the heroine, Lacey & absolutely loved her. It's nice to see a main character who is a strong assertive female. This book has action, adventure, romance and rich, well developed characters. I will be waiting for the sequel, cause I know it's coming!
