Meet the Author

Janet Syas Nitsick is the author of the Best of Year book, Seasons of the Soul. Her upcoming release is Sustaining Love: A Time Remembered, an early-twentieth-century romance. It received honorable mention from Christianstoryteller.com Writers Dream Contest. Sustaining Love will remind readers of a simpler, purer time when husbands and wives overcame harsh realities through persistence and endurance.


The author worked as a journalist for five years and is a former language arts teacher. She is the daughter of late Nebraska State Sen. George Syas. Janet earned her bachelor of arts degree from Omaha’s College of Saint Mary in 1995 as a nontraditional student.
