Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
British and American readers waited more than 50 years for the first English-language edition of Il cucchiaio d'argento (The Silver Spoon), the 1950 classic still commonly regarded as the standard-setter for Italian cookbooks. The team behind the 2005 English edition now presents a convenient yet comprehensive collection of 350 classic and modern pasta recipes. The Silver Spoon Pasta contains the most popular pasta recipes from "the bible of Italian home cooking" and a fresh assemblage of new recipes collected by the team and now published in English for the first time. From spaghetti alla carbonara to orecchiette with broccoli; it's pasta perfect.
From the Publisher
"Concise recipes are easy to follow, the color photos will keep you motivated and the results are bound to please."

    Great for the Pasta Lover

I purchased the original Silver Spoon over a year ago. Although I found it informative it was also harder to understand and was definitely not for the beginner. When I notice the Silver Spoon Pasta I was interested. My daughter and I took a pasta making class and I wanted to come up with new easy recipes...this is the book! Easy to understand with delicious recipes. One of my families favorite is the Fettuccine with Chicken and Almonds. Simple, quick and no fancy ingredients!
