Editorial Reviews

New York Times - Stephen Holden
[Feinstein] came across as a seasoned swing-band vocalist with almost as much visceral clout as Frank Sinatra, to whom he pays tribute on his newest album, "The Sinatra Project".... Hammering the downbeats with a percussive ferocity, he showed he can more than hold his own with latter-day Sinatra acolytes like Michael Bublé and Harry Connick Jr.
Los Angeles Times - Josh Getlin
The result is an album that some are calling one of the finest in Feinstein's career.... Surprises abound: Purists and casual fans might listen to Feinstein's knockout version of "Begin the Beguine" by Cole Porter and initially think that they've heard it before on one of Sinatra's great Capitol recordings. But they haven't. The swinging, jazzy arrangement, which was written and conducted by [Bill] Elliott, is a wholly original yet evocative tip of the hat to "I've Got You Under My Skin," "Night and Day" and other fabled Sinatra performances.
New York Sun - Will Friedwald
This is perhaps the most thoughtful Sinatra homage since Tony Bennett's, and has the feeling of being prepared by one die-hard Sinatra junkie for the express benefit of the rest of us -- a master's thesis in more tangibly enjoyable form.
Variety - Steven Suskin
We get the Sinatra style, influence and dressing without an attempt at imitation. This works swell.
