Overview

This is Book 3 of the Forced To Serve series and approximately 91,716 words long.

With her Siren mate and his mother captured by black market slave traders, Commander Gwen Jet is willing to do anything it takes to get them back, even if it means suffering through meditation and having more visions of herself as a slave. Being a trained warrior, Gwen doubts that using intuition can guide her to more answers her stunner against Zade’s captor’s throats could, but ends up using her energy gifts to locate the Sirens after all.

Once found though, Gwen's problems only escalate because the drugged and tortured Zade she rescues doesn’t seem to remember her. Plus the drugs have turned him into a more aggressive version of himself. If it weren’t for the mating cord she accepted and the Khalsa tricks Ania taught her, her out of control Siren mate would just as soon kill her than trust her now that he’s escaped his cage. While she can’t help be a little angry that she suffered four days of torture in answering the Siren’s call for a male who evidently now no longer knows her, their mating cord also may be the only connection between them that remains of their bond. Because of the cord Dorian Zade desires her as much as he did in the beginning, before the Lotharians stripped his energy from her, but Gwen wonders which version of Zade is the one that wants her. What will happen when his memories return?

Editorial Reviews

http://www.examiner.com/review/mcdonald-does-it-again-with-siren-s-call - Jesse Coffey
Donna McDonald is a literary alchemist because this series is pure gold -- it will appeal to those who love science fiction and space opera, or romance novels. You can fall in either or, like me, both camps. But it's a serious must read. And if you're not reading these books, you are missing out on some fantastic story!
http://www.blackravensreviews.com/?p=11156 - Naunet Black Raven's Reviews
Ms. McDonald’s writing style is smooth and silky with no abrupt endings and cloudy beginnings. The transitions from one book to the next are perfectly sewn seams on the fabric of love, adventure, and intimacy held together by the strong threads of great paranormal elements. In The Siren’s Call, the women are no damsels in distress needing a strong man to rescue them. Instead, the story reflects realism as women are often the one riding in making the rescue.~Naunet, BlackRavenReview

Meet the Author

After 35 years of doing everything for a living except writing books, Donna McDonald finally published her first romance novel in March of 2011. Twelve novels later, she is living her own “happily ever after” life as a modestly successful author who gives back to the universe by doing her best to keep several Lexington, Kentucky coffee shops in business.

McDonald dreams of selling her house and taking to the open road once she figures out how to do so without her children and grandchildren finding out. For the time being, she continues to live contentedly with her permanent fiancée of many years who helps her sneak away from real life as often as he can. She loves him dearly for it.
