Thank you Dr. David (Pastor David) for sharing the genius of "The Skin You Live In". This well versed book serves to reveal the heart of Creator God - embracing all people for who they are as human beings, amazingly created, all colors and hues. It carefully and intentionally presents ways in which we as people can foster a sense of authentic transparency in bringing resolution to an often hidden and mirky disease of the soul - racial divide. It makes you want to step across the vast divide(of the reality of racial tension) and move one step closer to "divine acceptance". Let it marinade your soul and along the way...know that whatever the color of your skin is; is an expression of a Masterful and Creative God who made you just the way you are and surely delights over you!
This book has given me insights into myself that I have never even considered. It has explained so much that was invisible about others, myself, my family, my friends, associates, school mates and my relationships to them.
"The Skin You Live In will lead you in a journey of transformation regarding the struggle and tension within people groups who do not look like us and help in reconciliation.
A place in a book where you read and turn the pages, you find interaction with different races and similarities with one another which I believe is the skin I live in.
Excellent book. To begin with every Christ follower should read it as it gives context around what it really means to embrace diversity. It will cause you to think.
