Overview

Ever wanted to learn the secret to going slow? Miguel likes to take things slowly. Going slowly means not only can he see what happens with greater clarity, but he can also sees what is likely to happen to those around him. So when his neighbours in the Olive Co-operative are offered subsidies to upgrade their trucks, Miguel refuses and instead takes yet another step towards slowing down.

Seen from the perspective of a new neighbour, Miguel is, on the surface, the idyllic wholesome Andalusian olive farmer. But gradually his simple philosophy concerning speed, relationships and good food slowly emerge as he works though his long week, and those around him cannot but be affected by his directness, his spirit and his vision.
