Good shorty story. 102pgs Spoiler: this was a good shorty story. It was a little confusing at times, as you get to know the characters. This remineds me of some Asian myths I had read once. If you like ancient stories with magic in an Asian setting this is a good story.

The book uses lots of vocabulary which almost forces the reader to grab a dictionary every other page which is good for educational uses. The book also has a good plot.

I like the author's use of vocabulary; I found words in there that I haven't seen since my SAT days. The incorporation of Japanese words too makes it feel more authentic (even though honorifics are missing). I wish he delved into characterization a little bit more but I understand it is a short story so once I figured out who to root for, it became a better read. I am looking forward to the next installment.

Though it was a bit short, the story was very good. There are also many Japanese words, so it would berather difficult for those who dont speak or read the language.

It was okay really, but i have read better japanese books. I am not saying it was bad, which it wasn't, but i myself wouldn't give it a five star. And overall i liked it. I hope you like it as well if you fancy japanese culture like me.
