About the Author

Sharon Cramer is the author and illustrator of the award-winning, three-book series, Cougar Cub Tales.  She is also the author of recently released, Marlow and the Monster, and is working on a new young adult series called The Cerulean Star. Sharon’s first novel, The Execution, was released in February of 2012.

A native New Yorker, Cramer lived throughout the United States before settling in the Pacific Northwest. She is also an avid equestrian who rides almost daily, but Cramer says she lives for writing and painting – her two passions. She lives in Spokane, Washington, has three grown sons, and lives with her husband in Spokane.

This book has beautiful illustrations that depicts all the forest creatures. I loved the soothing, rhyming dialogue. I also appreciated the moral of the story that encourages love and companionship between siblings. I would recommend this for children 5-9 as it has advanced vocabulary that young children may not be able to grasp. The Sneezy Wheezy Day is a welcome addition to my child's bookshelf.

This book is very colorful and has beautiful illustrations. I like that this story introduces new vocabulary words. I also think that Ms. Cramer’s choice of animals was perfect for introducing new animals to young children. I am planning to use this book in my classroom. I can read it when talking about health and also when we are discussing families.
