Sinners: Book One
"Evil lives in the dark. We instinctively know this as children..."

Nestled high in the mountains of Tennessee, a community exists where everyone knows your name and species.
Voted by readers as one of the top 10 books in Paranormal Romance in 2011.

Since the beginning of time there have been vampires, but not in the way we've been led to believe.
Part one:

When Stacy catches her neighbor biting the pizza delivery man, everything in her world changes. With Brandon's other-worldly good looks and charm, Stacy isn't as surprised as should be when she learns he's a vampire. Unfortunately, her easy acceptance of him lands her in the middle of a battle as old as time-- the war between vampires and werewolves.

Part two:

Serving drinks in a questionably clean bar isn't how Cherish pictured her life would turn out, but when an attack by a vampire leaves her cursed to live in the dark, she doesn't have many job opportunities available to her. Living as a taint means living in hiding, and Jackson Station seems like just the place. It's high in the mountains and no one ever comes there. That is, until Jazz Anderson shows up. His mysterious lifestyle and hot glances, catch Cherish's eye, but considering her affliction, she never dreams she could have him. However, Jazz has a few secrets that will make hers seem downright mortal in comparison.

Part three:

Taylor is on the hunt for a husband, but the prospects in Jackson Station are slim to none. After a night fueled by too much alcohol, she takes a moonlight stroll into the woods and ends up in the arms of a dream man. Gabe can't believe his luck when he meets the beautiful and nude Taylor. Their relationship quickly turns into nightly passionate meetings that neither can get enough of. That is, until Taylor arrives too early one night and runs into a wolf-- a wolf that turns into a man. When Taylor catches Gabe's transformation, she doesn't know what she'll do. Gabe has his heart set on having her as his mate, so she'd better decide fast.

Part four:

Every day more and more Society members are settling in Jackson Station. Where there are vampires, trouble inevitably follows. Dominic has been contemplating making the move as well, since his best friend Gabe is now living there. When the town is threatened by a rogue Changeling, his job as a Tracker makes him duty bound to stick around to help solve the case. Little does Dominic know, his wife Mika has been called in as well. It's been sixty years since Mika chose the Society over her husband and she hasn't seen him since. His presence on this case makes it even worse, since she is tracking the same man who came between them all those years ago. Can they find their way back to one another, or will the Changeling finally break them for good?

Part five:

Dimitri has given up his entire life to the service of his people. Now, he's buying property in Jackson Station and settling down. For years, he's kept a secret, one he dare not let anyone know, and she's the reason he cannot resist the small town. Will Dimitri finally get his happily ever after, or will it be ripped apart by deception and lust?

Find out what happens when a town is filled with vampires, werewolves, changeling, and one warrior for God in The Society of Sinners.

Not being a huge fan of paranormal romance stories I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. The writing style is smooth and stories do keep your attention. I liked they way it went from one character in the previous story to the next and all were a little bit further in the timeline. Made for a very nice afternoon in the sun.

Reviewed by Sylvia H. for Readers Favorite

The Immortals. The Wares. The world of the undead. Those without a soul. The mind-benders - very special new kind of vampires with a powerful and wonderful gift able to read the thoughts of others and bend their will to them. This encompasses the lives of the vampires and in the battle between good and evil, the immortals struggle amongst themselves to weed out the tainted ones. The tainted blood like their own but that has become infected through the power of The Evil Ones. The Society was established to keep and thenceforth balance and maintain the power between the conflicting and fighting groups in and around the small town of Jackson Station, Anywhere USA. This and thus forth, lies the premise of author Charity Parkerson’s supernatural romance book "The Society of Sinners". A series of romantic stories about couples and friends whose lives intersect one another with the added bonus of them being vampires and wares coming together for a common goal.

I really enjoyed reading author Charity Parkerson’s supernatural vampire steamy romance story "The Society of Sinners". I liked how she develops and sets each of the four main couples in different books in the chapters but still had each of the characters intermingle and become intertwined in each other's lives. In some ways, it was as if I were reading four different books that were written to stand separate, but needed to be woven together in order for the stories to flow. And with each new introduction of another couple and character, I was always surprised in the end to see how each of the preceding chapters and couples were involved in each other's lives. Four different couples, all become friends, and all drawn together by fate. Soul mates brought together by destiny. Each with their own unique powers. Each with the will and the desire to have good overcome evil. I strongly recommend reading Charity Parkerson’s book "The Society of Sinners" for anyone who absolutely loves the power of romance and the theory of finding that special one that you were just meant to be with. And not only will you be able to read about the romance you hold so dearly, you will also find adventure in the supernatural backdrop of the otherworldly realm of vampires.

Recommend: I would recommend this book to those who enjoy Paranormal Romance such as Black Dagger Brotherhood and Midnight Breed Series. It had the same feel to it, but a different take on Vampires and Were's.

I rated this one 4.5/5 Stars. I really, really liked it. I just wanted more from each story. Yes, you heard right. When I started reading this I did not realize that it was made up of 5 Short Stories. They are all linked through a group called Safe Haven and The Society. My only wish was that I wanted all these stories to have there own books dedicated to them. I wanted about 200 more pages per story.

Not the greatest read but good enough

This series of novelas has a good storyline. Unfortunately the author is in too much of a hurry to get her ideas written that it doesn't flow like it should.

The plot is incomplete and the story disjointed. Happily ever after is too fast in it's conclusion and the journey unbelievable.

The characters are developed well but their interactions are not. I recomend in the future this author take some time to flesh out her stories before publishing them to ebook form. It would increase her credibility as a published author.

I wouldn't write her off completely just yet. Practice and time will make her an incredible writer.
