The appropriately airy synth washes of "Breathing Meditation" lead into the rhythmic, tabla-driven "Heart Meditation" and soothing atmospheres of "Body Awareness." The appropriately airy synth washes of "Breathing Meditation" lead into the rhythmic, tabla-driven "Heart Meditation" and soothing atmospheres of "Body Awareness." "Envoking the Gods of Healing" and "Inviting the Spirit of Healing" feature particularly lovely, Indian-influenced instrumentals with hypnotic tablas and flutes; the album becomes increasingly world music-based until it culminates with "Ode of Solomon," which provides a sensual, reflective finale. With its extensive liner notes, which outline Chopra's philosophies about the gods and goddesses of healing, The Soul of Healing Meditation is a good way for meditation novices to explore this relaxing art.

    results of healing meditations

I played this CD for teen youth in a group home as an activity. I lit candles, turned down the lights and asked that they follow the direction of Chopra. I went over some ground rules for this exercise. It was the first time they had experienced any meditation exercises. They became so relaxed some slept. All in all, they asked me to schedule this exercise each week. Chopra's voice along with the musical background tends to help you achieve the state of relaxation and healing. You become exeremely aware of your body.

    Perfect Place To Start

This is a very good meditation CD. It is guided by Deepak Chopra with some of the best 'New Age' music. It is very relaxing and healing. Helping with heart rate, blood pressure and migraines to name a few.

    Soothing to my soul

The Soul of Healing Meditations is fabulous for relaxing. Deepak's voice is smooth and soothing allowing you to relax and find your inner self. I recommend this CD because it is simply great if you have a busy shcedule and can't make it to yoga class. Listening to this CD a half hour before you go to work or even in the car will brighten up your day.

    I Also Recommend:

    Simple yet powerful

Appropriate for both new and seasoned meditators. There is definitely a release and shift after listening just once. Listen to all tracks during each meditation (excepting the final track, Ode to Solomon)--it's much more powerful than just focusing on one track for each meditation.

    Soul of Healing Meditations

Since this is my third or fourth order of this same item, I keep giving them away, it is obvious that I place it highly on my approval list.
