Overview

For Caitlin and Nicole O'Connor two sisters from Massachusetts, the divorce of their parents and the death of their best friend was only the beginning of their problems. It now seems that there is a ghost in their house and a mystery to be solved as well. With the help of their grandmother, a dog named Dog, their next door neighbor Craig and a bizarre gypsy, the girls set out to form "The Soul Patrol" and try to uncover the reason why their friend Kelsey can't cross over and be at peace.

With only a short amount of time on their hands, the girls must somehow deal with frozen windows, a talking doll, a wake, a singing alarm clock and a dark, shocking secret all the while learning that death is a part of life. "The Soul Patrol" will make you laugh, cry and reflect on how precious life is. But most of all, like the girls, you will learn that while family and friends may not be perfect, love given freely and without condition can solve any crisis and perhaps even bring a broken family, back together.

    The edge of the forest

After dealing with the pups, BlazeClan territory expands and deepens even more downward. A large slope decends downward. At the bottom of the slope are many trees: aka, a perfect place for an enemy to hide. Do you... proceed downward to take a look? Or decide there is nothing more to see and head back? ((if you take a look at the bottom of the slope go to the next result.))

    more from this reviewer

A touching read worth anyone's time.

I was not sure what to expect from this book when I read it. This first time author wowed and impressed me with his character developement and plot line. A perfectly geared story for the tween genre. I orignally bought it for my daughter and after she read it asked me to read it because she liked it so much. I was drawn to the characters and felt what they felt as I read it. I would recommend this book for all ages if they enjoy a great story that flows effortlessly and seemlessly.

Great read from an up-and-coming author!

The author proves himself as a very captivating writer with this first novel. Even though it is aimed at 'tweens', an adult could easily pick this up and be immediately engaged as a member of 'The Soul Patrol'. Very touching, teaches life lessons without being transparent and definitely offers memorable characters. Great read for anyone, highly recommend! Pick one up for your loved one today.
