Ghosts are fun. Ghosts are easy to deal with. Ghosts aren’t real.

Reality is where the trouble starts.

Drusilla Thorne and her sister Stevie need a place to live in San Antonio while Drusilla sets up her new identity. The place they find is definitely cheap — the landlord can’t find tenants because it’s supposedly haunted.

Overview

Ghosts are fun. Ghosts are easy to deal with. Ghosts aren’t real.

Reality is where the trouble starts.

Drusilla Thorne and her sister Stevie need a place to live in San Antonio while Drusilla sets up her new identity. The place they find is definitely cheap — the landlord can’t find tenants because it’s supposedly haunted. That’s fine with Drusilla, because she knows ghosts aren’t real.

But something is making enough noise to keep her awake at night. And if it’s not ghosts making those noises, what is?

Sometimes Drusilla needs to remember asking questions might bring answers nobody wants to hear.

I saw this offered for free in an e-letter and made the mistake of getting it. The reason I say I made a mistake is because, thanks to it, I didn't get much else done today! I could not put it down! It tells a complete story in a book that's novella length, yet makes the reader want to come back to find out more about the background of these two women. Ms. Patterson drops just enough detail to make you want more. Great job! I hope the next one is as good as this one was, because I'll be starting it in bed tonight.

100 pages, pretty violent, very gory. Not a romance. No other adult topics. Free and first in series. Free standing. Next book $3.99. I really enjoyed this short read. AD

Interesting, but short read.

A nice quick read. Casually written which makes it a lite mystery for a summer day. Interesting heroines, I look forward to reading more.
