Thinking about relocating to the sunbelt? If so, and you like gardening, this is a terrific resource for planning. Flowers, shrubs, grasses, trees, they're all there. It is one of the most comprehensive gardening books I have come across. Over 700 pages of great information. The book is well organized and beautifully illustrated. If you want to attract songbirds and hummingbirds and are in the "Coastal South" the information is there. Cross check it with "Deer Resistant" plants and you're in business. Enjoy.
Great reference guide! I got tired of logging on to the internet everytime I wanted information about a plant that was already in the yard, or searching for the perfect plant for an empty spot. It's heavy, but like all Southern Living books it will last a lifetime.
A must have for the novice to master gardener!
