This is the second of three e short prequels to Jason Mott's THE RETURNED.
In "The Sparrow" a young couple finds Tatiana, a girl who died in 1994 (we also meet her in one of the Returned stories in the book itself). The impact Tatiana has on the couple that finds her is great but her own story remains much of a mystery.
This was my favorite of the three, possibly because I liked Tatiana so much.
(As with the other two, this short does include an excerpt of THE RETURNED.)

The Sparrow is a not a zombie story where the dead return, but the dead are returning. This is an uplifting tale about a young girl from Sierra Leone. The writing was beautiful and the story compelling.

    Better than The Returned

This prequel was actually a more thrilling read than the novel The Returned. It had solid characters that you really connected to.
