A comprehensive, user-friendly guide to the skills and techniques for measuring garments and creating spec sheets. It¿s an excellent resource book which provides the fundamentals for building, developing, streamlining your flats and specs library. It¿s a neat and concise reference book you would find so useful that would like to own and keep at hand at all times. Furthermore, the enclosed CD-ROM makes it even more versatile for it offers you the possibility to save, send, print, alter (and carry!) all the information. I find it extremely helpful. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Looking for a current, well-written garment specification template? a quick reference of how to measure a garment accurately for a spec? a software you can combine use to draw garment flats consistently? The Spec Manual can sure make you happy. All the spec sheets are written in Excel in an easy-to-follow, easy-to-edit format. The measurement points are explained in detail in a table, providing user a quick reference. The most valuable part is, all the measurment points are illustrated with nicely drawn pictures, corresponding to the measurement point table, allowing an immediate grasp of the tricks for measurement. the croquis figures cover almost all age groups and body types and come with a CD-ROM. One can draw garment, millinery, jewelry and footwear over the croquis, using graphic software, such as Adobe Illustrator. As a fashion design student, I use the croquis to draw all my garment flats. They are the esssential part of my portfolio. I believe fashion professionals can also find this book vey beneficial. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
