This is a medieval romance that is a sweet story but lacks the background story I would have preferred. The book is only 52 Nook pages. If I would have known that, I would not have purchased it. The writing is decent, but the story needs more.... maybe some flashback scenes depicting Aaric and Vivian's history together, and more on why Vivian's family was imprisoned. Good start to a novel that seemed to hurry up and end.

*An enjoyable read.. would have made a great full-length story..

Her new husband is dead. Her kind father and cousins imprisoned, mostly likely to be killed. But the lead female can lay with her ex, who is the one that has taken over her home, on the first night. No loyality! Could have been good.

For those readers who aren't aware, a novella is not a full length novel. It's more of a short story. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. This author provides rich detail and has a sophisticated style. I hope to see more from her!

Evidently, this is a brand new author, but I took a chance and I don't regret it. This book was very sensual and I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you're in the mood for a quick read, I highly recommend.

I love medieval romances and this one was good. It's a novella, which means it's not a full length novel. The writing was good and the characters easy to fall in love with. If you're looking for a quick read this book delivers.

The book is perfect on a night when your all to yourself in a bubble bath or possibly with a glass of succulent red wine, and you have a couple hours to treat yourself to this sexy and seductive book. I wasn't sure if I wanted to dig into another romance novel considering I have so many sitting on my bookshelf in my office just waiting to be read, but I thought why not, and grabbed my nook and cozied in the corner while my husband was away on business and totally lost myself in this book for hours. It's a must read for someone who likes some thought to there romance, I lobe a book that makes me think in between the lust, its fun that way.
