The Star Wars Trilogy [1 Disc]

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Rodney Batdorf
Star Wars Trilogy contains highlights from John Williams' scores for all three films -- Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi -- providing the familiar themes, from the main titles to the "Imperial March." It's an excellent distillation of the finest moments from the most anthemic and memorable film music of the last 25 years of the 20th century.

For moms with kids obsessed with Star Wars

My son received this cd at Easter and loves it. He wants to listen on his way to and from school. It's a great buy for mom's of Star Wars fans. We played it at his birthday party and all the boys were excited.

The Force is strong in this one!

This is a fine CD which has compiled all the best music from the classic Trilogy (on DVD this September!). Of particular note is the immortal "Imperial March": Williams at his peak. The "Fox Fanfare" is a nice (extremely) short track which has the effect of transporting you back into the darkened cinema. The "Star Wars Theme" is as brilliant as ever - crank the volume up real loud! "The Asteroid Chase" has Wagnerian bombasr and a real kinetic feel to it. The Special Edition CDs for each 'A New Hope', 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'The Return of the Jedi' have made this CD superflous to hard-core Star Wars fans but for those of us just wanting those most iconic tracks, this is for you. May the Force be with you!
