    Stripy Strikes Out

While the graphics deserve some attention, the story itself does not. The author may have been trying to create a sense of pride or security wrapped up in the stars and stripes, but there was no interesting storyline to accomplish that goal. This one goes is the give-away pile.

    Too complex for kids

The bright colors and graphics are terrific and the cover really captured my attention. The content, however, was disappointing, since it was neither enchanting nor rhythmic. My young children love books that are simple, silly, and/or engaging, with catchy titles they can remember and ask for again and again. With this book, sadly, one reading was enough for them.
