The book is exceptionally well illustrated and has some great crafting techniques to pass along, but it was obvious from the start that it was targeted at crafters in their teen years and not adults who were chasing a later-in-life steampunk awakening. There are fantastic tips throughout the book, and certainly some of those techniques are applicable for projects which older steampunk makers undertake. The story elements and accompanying illustrations tie directly to each of the craft projects, and should prove both entertaining and engaging for teen punkers. I'd recommend it for all teen and "young adult" steam enthusiasts, and for those older steam enthusiasts who haven't yet gotten too far along the path of the steam "maker".
