Overview

Jason Father is an archaeologist, a traveler of the forbidden Wastes, a procurer of lost technology, and peddler of things long forgotten by the winds of time. Yet he is alone in a land where humans are hated, hunted, and more often than not, killed for sport. Armed with only his pistol and an armored survival suit, Jason has agreed to one last quest into the Tainted lands of the forbidden Wastes in search of technological treasure that could advance the scientific arts of all the kingdoms within the sixteen lands, or drive them to tear themselves apart in an unholy war of conquest and tyranny. Accompanied by a Technomancer’s runaway slave and an eight-legged thief, the unlikely trio must battle the savage elements of volatile land, forgotten kingdoms, mad wizards, and alien beings who wish to stop or steal the treasure from Jason’s hands, before he makes the decision that could doom sixteen kingdoms forever.
The Steel Traveler of Urth is a tale of a man seeking a fresh start, a new beginning to an old life that left his soul scarred and his eyes old. It is the story of a woman seeking the freedom to choose her destiny and the will to love whom she wishes, even if that love should lead her to betray the one being that has protected her since she was a child. It is a tale of high adventure, even higher science fiction and fantasy, and even a bit of dark humor to take the edge off.

Meet the Author

Saul has been writing all his life. His main writing interests include science fiction and fantasy. But he is always fascinated by epic tales of true heroes.
He currently lives in California with his beautiful wife. When not writing he attends classes at the American river college in Sacramento and am currently working on two degree’s, one in Electronics and the other Mechtronics; which is not as it turns out the name of Micheal bay transformer, but in fact is a multi-disciplinary field of which the primary focus is industrial automation…or so the ARC pamphlet says; as he has yet to work his way up through the mountain of pre-reqs to actually get to the nitty gritty classes of this degree.

The Steel Traveler of Urth is his first science fiction novel.

    Offbeat, imaginitive and entertaining

One heck of an adventure. Mystery, magic, romance and betrayal in a truly unique setting. Well worth a read - this is one I keep coming back to reread.
