Although there was a good story, the book felt rushed. I was disappointed in the growth of the character Thalia. At times she would say things that didn't really blend with her character traits from the first book. The first few chapters seemed to jump around and somethings Thalia did were a little far fetched for how she was supposed to be acting - like being so drugged and paralyzed yet she was able to saw the tethers on the horse and get her body on to the bench. The use of 21st century slang also takes away from the setting. There were also quite a lot of editing mistakes. Had this been a free book, I might be able to overlook that, but being that I had to pay for this copy it should have been edited correctly. Poor editing takes away from a smooth reading. I certainly hope the third installment is written with a smoother voice and the editor does a better job. It is a great story line and has classic themes.

The second book to The Iron Buttrrfly was intense!!!! I loved it to no end. I think that one: these books need to be made into movies and two: there needs to be a 3rd book!!!! I loved this book so much. I felt like i was there with Thalia, Kael and Joss. Evrrything she felt i felt too. Definite 5 Star book.

This is the second in a series I guess. Really liked the first book "The Iron Butterfly", really liked this one to but I was really distracted in the reading with so many typos and discrepancies about some of the characters. Other than that I hope there is a third and I would read that too.

I loved both the Iron butterfly as well as steele wolf. I am a big fan of anything paranormal and fairytale and Chanda is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. I like that Thalia shows real emotion,although she is the main character she is capable of feeling fear,compassion,anger..etc..she is stubborn, strongwilled and courageous. This series is appropriate for all ages.I can't wait for the next book.....

When I first bought this book I couln't put it down. This book is amazing. I would recommend this book 5 stars. I can't wait for the next book The Silver Siren!

Everything that was present in the first book can be found in the second, along with more action, more magic, and more drama. When I started the first book, I felt a little trepidation regarding the slow pace at the start. With Steele Wolf, I didn't have that worry. It took off where the last book ended and kept going. I enjoyed the layers that were revealed with the plot. There's always something to be discovered. However, you don't feel overwhelmed with each new revelation. They actually add more to the story and helps keep you engaged in the book.
Along with the plot, there's more in depth attention paid to the main characters of Thalia, Kael, and Joss. You get different sense of Thalia in the second book. Whereas in the previous story in which Thalia is portrayed a surviving victim of experimental torture, she's more stronger and independent in this book. But she's also still trying to deal with the trauma of what was done to her, giving her that vulnerability to her character. You get a little more sense of who Kael is. He's still mysterious, but there are times where you get a peek of his character. I love the interactions between him and Thalia. There's always a bit of tension between them which can be take both romantically and adversarially. It adds that extra spark that I enjoyed in the book.
There aren't many sequels that you consider to be better than the first. With Steel Wolf, I am perfectly content to say that it is better than the first. There's much more story to go along with the action and drama. The characters are more fleshed out. And by the end, you are left eagerly awaiting for the next installment in this series.

This book was good and all but I was disapointed with the quality. The first book (which was FREE) was over 500 pages long and was beautifly writen. So ok there were a few spelling and grammer issues but it was free so that was fine. But this book is only about 170 pages long and I had PAY for this one. Plus it still had the grammer/spelling errors. What's up with that? I heard that she wrote the iron butterfly and it ended up being over1,000 pages so she had to split it up but when I found out that the Iron Butterfly was 500 pages or so I thought that the Steal Wolf would be too but it's not. Rip off! I also started to dislike the characters and their actions/thoughts conflicted with their origanal ones from the first book. But still it's ok. And anyone who read the first book will atomatically buy this no matter what I write if you liked it. So yah, could have been better but atleast it was writen. I like Wolf and Faraway alot! :)

Loved it!!! Just watch typos and make sure Hemi only enters the room once. Can't wait for her to come to her senses about Joss. Go Kael.

The Steele Wolf is the sequel to "The Iron Butterfly," and essentially resumes right where it left off, with more romantic entanglements, and at least as much, if not more, action for Thalia, Kael, Joss, and the others.
While this second book was entertaining and a fun read, it didn't speak too me as much as the first book. I felt as if this book was in stasis. Yes, there was again lots of action, but it kind of felt as if everyone/thing was running in place (rather like a treadmill, where you run & run but never actually get anywhere). That is not to say that nothing happened, but it began to feel a bit repetitive and like filler. I think that all of the meaningful portions of this book could have been covered in one-half to two-thirds the current length. However, until I read the entire series there is no real way to determine if things I considered superfluous in this book are actually setting the scene for future books.
For all that I said above, this was still an enjoyable read, and I am very much looking forward to the next book. I suspect that this will end up as a trilogy, but that is the beauty of books - anything can happen!

I enjoyed both books but was really disappointed with the length of the second book. 176 pages is not enoughto be called a book! Although I would love to read the third book, I would want to know its length before I decide to buyor not.
If the length of the book had been longer, I could have given 5 stars despite some serious editing problems.

I couldn't wait to read this after finishing Iron Butterfly, a free nook book. This sequel did not disappoint. I didn't want to put it down! It is a book than an adult can enjoy and one that I would recommend to my fifth grade niece as well.

Right from the get go this book had me hooked. I could not put it down! Despite editing problems, the book is still a fantastic read for young people as well as adults. Lots of action, intrigue, set in a fantastic mystical realm. I couldn't believe when the book ended and just left me hanging, so I immediately purchased the second book and finished that as well...both books read within 3 days! Now I must anxiously await the third book. On a side note, I also loved that there was no foul language, there was romance minus any raunchiness, and although the descriptions of Thalia's torture were descriptive, they were not gratuitous. The author has shown it's possible to write an incredibly detailed story without such things and still be utterly captivating. I even read this book out loud to my 46 year old, macho, Scarface-loving husband, and he loved it as well!

This book is really great* dont read unless you already read the first one* Its pretty much Joss V.S. Kael when you think about it. In the first book i thought Joss but in the second* spoiler alert* when i saw him cheating on Thalia and when Kael kissed her and i really thought about it i was like toats Kael!!!
