By far, the best book I have read in a long time. You cannot put this book down! If you are a dog lover and know what your dogs mean to you ...you will go on this journey with them. I laughed and cried and could feel the emotion in everything they went through. Take this ride... you will be glad that you did.

As a dog lover, I thought I was going to really enjoy this book; however, I was greatly disappointed. It's a true story that would have been better off told in a short newspaper article. There wasn't enough for a BOOK. A dog is stolen. Then he miraculously returns. NOTHING happens in between. Each chapter is the same as the last: owner puts up missing dog fliers, owner receives phone calls in response to said fliers. Then hangs more fliers. Receives more calls. Fliers. Calls. Literally nothing happens. And we never even find out in the end who took the dog or where he was. I hate to say it, but this book was just plain boring.

Don't get me wrong, I am SO happy that Briggs was found, and I wish all humans loved their pets as much as this! But there's just not enough of a story here to make it "book material", in my opinion.

    Frantic Read

Not enough story to hold this together, but then, it is a non-fiction tale.

    A little predictable

Although I thought this book was very well written I found it to be a bit predictable. I enjoyed the way the author could really paint a picture but the plot needed more to it. It was a good leisure read with little suspense or surprise.
