Overview

From the New York Times bestselling author of TombQuest: Book of the Dead, comes book 4 in an epic adventure filled with the magic of ancient Egypt!

It's a race for the Spells!

Alex and Ren are on a desperate hunt, and time's running out. They've discovered that The Order is on the brink of creating an army of indestructible stone warriors with a dark purpose, and the Lost Spells is the one thing that can put an end to the evil scheme.

Following a trail of clues that only Alex can piece together, their chase takes them through magical portals, across Egypt, and deep into Alex's past. But the closer they get to the Spells, the more afraid Alex becomes. He begins to realize that undoing the powerful magic that has created so much chaos might mean ending the very thing the magic was intended to save: his own life.

In the tradition of The 39 Clues and Spirit Animals, the TombQuest adventure doesn't end with the books. An epic online game allows you to build an Egyptian tomb of your own, hide treasure and protect it with traps, then challenge your friends to play through!

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Shirley Nelson
In book four of the “Tombquest,” series, twelve-year-olds Alex and Ren are on the run from Death Walkers, who were accidentally released when Alex’s archaeologist mom used the Lost Spells of the Egyptian Book of the Dead to save Alex from death. His mom immediately vanished along with the Spells. Alex and Ren have travelled from New York through ancient portals in an attempt to find her. Here they travel through an ancient Egyptian portal. They go from the Valley of the Kings in Egypt to a museum in Vienna, Austria. Lost in Vienna and on the run from a Soul Eater, they are finally able to contact Professor Todtman who is able to rescue them. All three travel back through portals to Alexandria, Egypt where they hope to find Alex’s mother—not an easy task. They must fight plagues of swarming flies led by Aff Neb, the man-sized fly, as well as other members of the Order who want to take control of the Spells to take the world into the Final Kingdom. The ancient stone warriors must not be allowed to come to life. Young readers will enjoy the adventure and humor in this series, as well as the online game. Reviewer: Shirley Nelson; Ages 8 to 12.
