Overview

Evanescence's creative brand of music made up of soaring female vocals, hard-hitting guitar, and classically trained piano burst onto an unsuspecting music scene in early 2003. The band has since worked its magic to conjure up multiplatinum album sales, two Grammys, and a devoted worldwide fan base. This first biography explores the teenage songwriting partnership forged by lead singer Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody in Little Rock, Arkansas, and how they realized their musical vision years later with their explosive debut Fallen. The instant success of "Bring Me to Life," the first of many chart-topping hits, set the band on a relentless concert trek around the globe. Here is the full story of the meteoric rise of Evanescence, including details of the group's strong recovery from the abrupt departure of co-founder Moody mid-tour and the band's future plans. This must-have for fans new and old is filled with scores of black & white and color photographs and features a discography and timeline.

It was alright, but it didn't have all that much information that I already knew.

This book rocks. It is full of loads of information about the band from the very beginning. It has loads of brilliant pictures of the band and lots of different ones of the beautiful and talented Amy Lee. It is nice and long and I liked reading it so much I am gong to read it again. Any fan should have this it is so good. Also it has a lot of interesting information about recording, touring, and the music business.
