Editorial Reviews

GoodReads.com - Duke F
In the first few pages alone, never have I read such a well-versed, learned understanding of quip, reference, phrase and appropriate synonym in the English language as in this delightfully humorous, honest, and poignantly descriptive novel. I laughed whole-heartedly at Suexliegh's shenanigans as much as I wept tears at the more heart-felt moments. Really a fantastic read. I can't recommend it enough.

"Suexliegh" is a very celebration of life itself. This book has found a home on my shelf beside "The Hobbit" and "Gatsby." And that, my friends, is very good company indeed. I look forward to spending my life reading this treasure again and again.

A sharp and lively story, "The Success of Suexliegh" is a mix of Wodehouse and Fitzgerald. Keller's novel has a great cast of truly likable characters and laugh out loud dialogue - I especially enjoyed the interactions between our hero, Suexliegh, and his nemesis, Dingle. A character who is literally "the greatest man to have ever lived" could quickly become old, but the details of Suexliegh's life remain charming.

Short chapters make this a quick read. Highly recommended.

The Success of Suexliegh was a wonderfully entertaining adventure. Superbly written characters will have you laughing out loud as you follow them along. I undoubtedly recommend it. I hope that there is a sequel in the future.

This humorous novel is a phantasmoric tale of the scoundrel Suexliegh whose hilarious escapades are captured in this delightfully written spoof.

The writing is precise and clever as he develops Suexliegh into an actually likeable, albeit arrogant, fellow who is dutifully served by his ever faithful servant. The story is well-told and thoroughly enjoyable. I want a sequel!

Meet the Author

Zack Keller was born and raised in Piedmont, a small town in northern California originally founded as a summer retreat across the Bay for wealthy San Franciscans. The son of a lawyer and elementary school reading teacher, he learned at a young age to keep his nose buried in books and away from the law.

After many long years enjoying the forest, friends and food the East Bay had to offer, Zack moved to Los Angeles to attend USC’s School of Cinematic Arts then began working in the film industry for Pixar Animation Studios and The Jim Henson Company. With the creative genius of his long-time friend, the two directors founded their own animation company known curiously as Remochoso and created “Dick Figures“, the highest viewed and rated animated web series on YouTube with over 160 million views and growing. His work has been highlighted by USA Today, LA Times, LA Weekly, Animation Magazine (Rising Stars of Animation 2011), and TechCrunch, amongst others. At night, however, Zack always wrote novels.

Finally, his first novel, The Success of Suexliegh, has come to fruition after many late night bottles of wine and meetings with helpful scoundrels. Zack currently lives in Los Angeles with his girlfriend and their destructive dwarf rabbit.
