Best thing I have ever seen come off smashwords! My kids loved it and we are now going to grow sunflowers in the garden in the spring.

I loved this, it is sweet and funny, but I thought the illustrations could have been better.

My 2 1/2 and 4 yo love this story. It is a very simple storyline and they love knowing what happens after the end. The drawings are fun and the growing sunflower is a process they can relate to. It has become a nightly favorite.

I really didn't understand why the sunflower roared . . . it was rather random . This had a good message , it was just portrayed in a rather out there way .

The mom on the phone all time is just an annoying part! Selfish! Not too bad for a short story. It provides a lot of questions from kids. Mine liked the story.

Good book, although it was only 14 pgs ; but my child read it and loved it except for the end was disturbing to her not to me i thought it was sweet with sunflowers planted at the grave of the old woman who loved sunflowers and phones it was sweet very good book

I'm glad I read this prior to reading to my child.

This is a short story, I believe, intended for children. It starts off well but then never seems to follow a direct plot. The pictures are rough and aren't synched with the correct page. Overall easy read but with no real message.

The story was alright, I get it.. Sarah doesn't like the fact her mom is on the phone all the time, okay.. understandable.. so her mom gives her something to do.. okay.. she grows a sunflower.. got it.. then she plants it outside.. and then the mother in the end wants to talk but now Sarah is older and on the phone.. okay, that's it.. not a very interesting story for a child, sure we all understand, give your child attention they don't stay young forever and as they get older they will not give you any time either.. got it.. but that is the story.. period.. oh well.. deleted it after I read it..

My daughter did not really enjoy this book. It was choppy and confusing to her and she considered the ending slightly disturbing. The ending shows the sunflower on top of a grave and my daughter was somewhat upset about the ending/picture.
