Editorial Reviews

Sheilamae O
The authors break their subject down into small chunks, such as "Dew Point," "Cloud Cover," and "Migration," and give each topic a page of explanation enhanced by photographs, drawings, or watercolors. Nothing is discussed in-depth, but the 22 chapters give a good overview of weather, what it is, what causes it, and how human behavior affects it, intentionally and otherwise. The format makes it easy for young readers to access the information in manageable increments, and the glossary and suggested experiments promote understanding. Bibliography.
