Overview

What would you do if someone killed your wife? If they savagely hacked away at her neck until she was almost decapitated. The justice system, designed to protect the innocent, fails. Then really think about it. Could you let her killer walk free?

The Survivor’s Game is a character-driven psychological drama of 110,000 words. It takes place in a college town in the heartland, one of the safest places in America. Jack Culney followed the rules when his wife was being stalked. But the letter of the law couldn’t protect her. This time around, he uses those same laws to his advantage.

He rebuilt his life in a new town and slowly turned around a stalled architectural career. But most importantly, he married a debutante in a community that prided itself on taking care of their own. His every move was done with calculated coldness.

Until he fathered a child.

When the time comes for Jack to exact his revenge, he realizes his focus was lost amid the T-ball games and parent-teacher conferences. He has fallen in love with Carole, their son and their lives together. But to achieve his goal, he must sacrifice everything. Is he being fueled by revenge? Justice? Or something far darker?
