    A - MA - ZING!!!!!!!

I'm a working NY actor, and I have read a lot of the books and taken every kind of class under the sun that I thought would help me advance my career. And at this point, I had become a little jaded with the idea of paying people (many times other actors) to teach me how to get ahead.

I don't know why, but I got this book and I was thinking "What's in this book that I haven't heard before?"

Well!... a lot of logical things that I had NEVER been taught before and that I KNEW would work for me. Dallas Travers is a career coach who specializes in marketing and self-development who has been working specifically with actors for 9 years.

I've been implementing the tools and strategies that are taught in this book for the last two months and have forged serious relationships with producers and writers that I've never met before and am strengthening relationships with industry people who, before reading this book, I wouldn't have thought had time for me.

This is not about schmoozing or networking. It's about building relationships with the people you'll be collaborating with for the rest of your life (limitless- think Tom Cruise/Paula Wagner or Denzel Washington/Spike Lee or Tony Scott). And it's much more exciting and empowering for an actor than simply trying to get an audition or an agent (limited-maybe you'll land that one gig).

If you're an artist and you're tired of giving all of your power away to other people in hopes that they'll "pick you," learn how to conduct your business!

Did I mention that I loved this book?
