This is a great reference for beginning Tarot readers as well as more experienced readers. This is well-organized and clearly written, and put together in a logical and meaningful way. If you are just starting out, this book is a great guide for familiarizing yourself with any deck and essential spreads. Excellent definitions and pictures to guide intermediate and advanced readers, too.

If you are interested in looking into Tarot but you don't know where to start, then this book is for you! Perfect for beginners, it provides detailed explanations for both the major and minor arcana. It also provides a brief history as well as a number of spreads to choose from that double as a guide to creating your own. The deck used is Universal-Waite, but the author recommends searching for a deck that best suits you.

this book is great! it takes a very intimidating subject 'tarot cards' and makes them incredible easy to understand and to relate to while still being loose enough to allow room for your own growth! Best of all, the author writes in a very down to earth and friendly way , which is awesome cuz, to be honest, i was expecting the wording to be a little more on the crazy side 'just a stereotype, dont get mad!! ARGH!!'. so anyway, this book is a keeper and it makes intimidating tarot cards easy to understand and FFFFUUUUNNN!!!!!!!
