Overview

Most of the more than a quarter of a million women are diagnosed with breast cancer in the U.S each year will be married, or have a man who will fill the gap as support partner from diagnosis to treatment, and beyond. Author, Todd Outcalt, is a United Methodist pastor who has helped hundreds of people through cancer and beyond, including his own life of thirty years. During the years leading up to the writing of this book, Todd was blessed to be able to talk to dozens of women and men who were willing to share insights about their breast cancer journeys. He has learned something from every one of them. His hope is that the digital version of this book will be both a practical and a “Quick” reference guide to the top ten things men need to remember. There is a quick guide immediately following the foreword in the book, but husbands will find a more detailed top ten are they read. What is the most important, of course, is your care. So men, regardless of the relationship, the essential ingredient here is YOU. That is why you are reading this . . . and thanks for caring.

We highly recommend that you read Husband’s Guide to Breast Cancer: A Complete and Concise Plan for Every Stage by Todd Outcalt. Husband’s Guide to Breast Cancer is filled with first-person account from real men who have walked the walk, as well as quick tips in each chapter. The book will speak to the practical side of a man’s care and reveal how he can use his strengths to help the woman he loves.
