Started reading this to my 7, almost 8 year old for bedtime read

Started reading this to my 7, almost 8 year old for bedtime reading and a couple pages in was the word  'douche".  The main character referred to a boy making a mess as a douche.  I stopped reading and uninstalled.  So inappropriate  for what appears to be and is sold as a children's book. The writer needs to use more of a filter.

I would agree that the language isn't appropriate for a children

I would agree that the language isn't appropriate for a children's book.  Perhaps it should be listed as YA.  Either way I thought that the story was pretty good.
