Ken Fry was born close to London in the county of Middlesex. He received a modest education, but was unable to settle at anything. He drifted around from job to job, country to country, and along the way became fascinated by the practice and philosophy of Zen.
He worked in French fish market and an Italian laundry before returning home, taking work as a grave digger in the local cemetery. He was not entirely at a dead end!
He progressed and became a Publisher for the Fine Arts division of a noted UK magazine publisher, a subsidiary of a famous American corporation based in New York.
Since then he ran his own courier company before obtaining an Honors Degree in English Literature followed by a Masters in the same subject.
Always interested in writing his favorite authors are Raymond Carver, Herman Hesse and for variety, Raymond Chandler!
He currently lives alone in Surrey UK with his devoted Shetland Sheepdog, named Charlie.
