Overview

Calories are only half of the weight-loss equation ... welcome to the other half.

In The Thin Commandments Diet, Dr. Stephen Gullo lets you in on his unique weight-loss program that has a success rate that is many times higher than the national average. His two-part approach replaces willpower with strategy and deprivation dining with great-tasting gourmet fare.

In the first part, he reveals his strategy secrets — the 10 Thin Commandments — including:

  • Think historically, not just calorically — identify trigger foods that can undermine your weight loss.
  • Slips should teach you, not defeat you — uncover the "24-hour secret" and never gain weight from binging again.
  • The problem may be in the food, not in you — learn the strategies to take control of your favorite foods.

In the second part, Dr. Gullo outlines his simple diet which will put you on the shortest path to safe and rapid weight loss — without depriving you of the foods you love. He takes the guesswork out of dieting and offers a program that helps melt pounds away quickly and easily.

Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
Gullo's Institute for Health and Weight Sciences in New York City boasts a six months-long waiting list. His weight-loss plan involves recognizing the "trigger foods" that often cause a loss of eating control and learning to substitute healthier items. The three-step program starts with the 10-Day TurboCharge diet for people who want to lose a relatively small amount of weight in a short period of time; the second step is for those who have more weight to lose and who will stay on the diet longer. Weight loss maintenance is the focus of the final regimen. Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.

Great book! Loved the CD version

Very helpful book. Excellent ideas, very real and down to earth approach to thinking thin. Not much talk on the stuff you already know, just how to think more productively in weightloss. Great concepts and excellent analogies. You will enjoy! I lost 7 lbs during the month of listenting to it. It's really a need to relisten over and over again and keep all the other stuff out of your head so you can get it down.
