This book was as much a mystery as it was the story of a girl getting comfortable with being psychic. It's aimed at teens, but I really enjoyed it despite (almost) being a senior. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes the paranormal and thrillers. I'm looking forward to reading another book by this author.

Like many of us, Jenny Crumb has trouble navigating her teen years. On top of that, she is also haunted by visions and premonitions that get her involved in a missing girl's case. This YA mystery/paranormal keeps the tension high and the plot rolling, but dashes of romance and humor are sprinkled all over the book. It's a winning combination. Jenny is a wonderful creation, a girl who struggles with her gift/curse and the discovery of love, but works hard to understand and control what is going on with her. I also liked her supportive family that keeps her (and the story) grounded. The supernatural element is so well-presented that you don't doubt for a moment that it could happen in reality. The precise, delightful writing didn't let me put this book down. An original and memorable debut novel.
