She is swept away to the palace giving Thatcher the only solution available to him. He will become one of the King's knights and therefore worthy of Miranda's hand. When dark magic strikes the kingdom, it is Thatcher's bravery that saves the King and the kingdom. Yet being a knight is not enough nobility to marry the woman he loves. When the source of the dark magic captures the palace and vows to make Miranda his bride, both Miranda and Thatcher work to overthrow him. Will it be enough to bring them together - or will dark magic and the King himself keep them apart?

Wonderful fairytale romance I couldn't put down. I started reading Thatcher and Miranda's story when it was serialized in Tuesday Tales. I was hooked from the start. When it came out as a book, I had to get it. My appetite had been whetted. And the final story did not disappoint. I was roped in from the start. Every time I read, I felt like I was sitting around a campfire and the author was telling the story. It has all the elements of true romance, a brave, handsome hero, a courageous, resourceful heroine and an evil man you love to hate, and enough plot twists to keep you turning the pages. The writing is good with evocative language that made me feel the texture of the clothing and be in the scene, whether it was a dungeon or forest. As always, with a sweet book, this novella concentrated more on the plot as there were no bedroom scenes to fall back on. I loved it. Couldn't put it down. Though it's short, it was not rushed, but paced perfectly. Bravo, Ms. Andersen.
