Overview

Evolution or the End?

Jacob Rosenberg, a hard-working business owner in Israel, suddenly finds his world turned upside down when a nuclear war erupts in the Middle East between his homeland and their enemies.

As the nations of the world rush to stabilize the region and prevent another devastating nuclear exchange, Israel finds itself completely alone and surrounded by a massive Coalition promising peace in exchange for her national sovereignty. Will Israel survive with all the nations arrayed against her?

And when strange, god-like extraterrestrials arrive on the earth promising peace, security, and goodwill, can they be trusted? Are they really the observers, guardians, and protectors of mankind as they proclaim?

Who is this coming World Leader they speak of, who is to guide mankind through a period of trials as the world begins to take the next great step in its evolution? Could this new World Leader be the long-awaited Messiah that the Jewish prophets spoke of centuries before?

Follow the story of an Israeli family and their struggle to survive in a world quickly being altered by war, fear, and deception. Will they be able to discern the truth of what is happening on the earth before it's too late?

    A comprehensive and significant effort

A comprehensively, ambitious, imaginative, and often disturbing view of what could happen if the Biblical Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy came to be.
Set in the near future in Tel Aviv, an international coalition has gathered to invade Israel in response to their nuclear exchange with Syria and Egypt. As some begin to recognize that the ancient prophecies of the Bible are being fulfilled (by way of meteor showers, armies that appear to be invisible, and sudden horrific earthquakes that swallow coalition forces only) multitudes of others are being led to believe that their world is entering the next phase of its evolution. Further adding to the confusion of the times is the arrival of the Anshar, an extraterrestrial race which makes astounding claims of involvement in earth's early history, present, and future.
Also followed is the subplot of Jacob Rosenberg, a hard-working business owner in Israel, who suddenly finds his world turned upside down with the war in the Middle East between his homeland and their enemies.
The ultimate question that this highly imaginative story attempts to answer is whether the prophecy means evolution or the end?
Filled with military strategy and technical information, the author shows a great command of the power players in the Middle East as well as political concerns throughout the world. This piece could easily have been broken into a series of books on the subject covering the different aspects.

Chris Hambleton resides in Denver, Colorado, where he is employed as a software developer and consultant. He is also the creator and owner of EzekielWatch.com which provides a comprehensive study of the Ezekiel 38-39 prophecy and dozens of news links to the nations involved in the future invasion of Israel.

The Time of Jacob's Trouble is a comprehensive and significant effort at imagining what could happen if a biblical prophecy comes true. In an effort to pack as much information as possible into this book, however, the plot tends to, at times, get lost in the descriptions. Still this book is a monumental effort on the author's part clearly showing us his passion in the subject. I give this book an Average rating.

    A fantastic yet chilling tale

When the Israelis reveal they have a rich reserve of oil in their land, the Russians are furious as that means other countries no longer need depend on them for supplies. They sponsor covertly Arab terrorists to sneak into Israel with nuclear bombs. The plans works as the nukes are launched from within the country, but Israel retaliates in kind. The world asks both sides to disarm and disengage, but Israel refuses. A coalition invades, but God intervenes and destroys the enemy of Israel.

Several months later, the so called aliens the Anshar arrive on earth to help mankind rise to the next step in evolution. People want this, but believers in the Christ know they are being conned by demons working for Lucifer. He raises up David Medine as the world ruler. Medine signs a treaty with Israel guaranteeing them the rebuilding of the Temple and seven years of peace. The Rapture occurs and Christian believers are brought up to Heaven. On earth Medine shows his true colors and the people of Israel flee to Petra for three and a half years. For Jesus to appear to take care of Medine and his allies the Sanhedrin that rejected Jesus as their savior two millennia must ask him to come to the world's aid and accept Jesus as their Savior.

This fantastic yet chilling tale focuses on the Rosenberg family as their daughter Ruth vanishes in the Rapture, their son Saul is one the 144,000 who is given the gift of oration to preach the Word. Their other son took the mark and will never reach Heaven and their parents Jacob and Naomi gradually, after seeing the miracles, convert to Christianity. Comparisons are going to be made to the Left Behind saga as both adhere to the bible's prophecy, but the details are described are sometimes radically different There is plenty of action with a potent message that avoids preaching as if readers are the choir, but instead uses Jacob's problems during the end of days.
