After I read all four of these books that go with this series (these two and two more), I read all of Cooney's other books. I love reading stories back in the medieval times and this book is back in that time and has romance and time travel involved altogether. Once you read this book, you won't forget the characters or teh plot. If you want to start on a good new series and you've finished Harry Potter, Eragon, Artimis Fowl, or Twilight, or anything else, START HERE

A few years ago i found this series in my high school library and decided to see what it was about. I absolutely fell in love with the story and was unable to put it down even after i had finished it twice. It is full of adventure and mystery and i would recommend it to anybody! Such a great read.

I LOVE these books. They are perfect for teenagers. The ending leaves you wondering what happens next, but i guess you will just have to read the next books to find out!!

I Love This Series!!!! I strongly reccomend this series. I read this series the first time when I was in middle school. As time went on I tried to remember the name of the books and when I found them I knew I needed to read them again. This is a great book series: one you can keep going back to. This series is excellent for the preeteen to young adult range.

"This series takes you from the now to another time with all the excitement and danger of that era. There are lots of twists that keep you reading", as quoted from my grandchild.

The begging on this book is pretty good. To me, the past (1895) is more 'real' then the presnt (1995). The author should have taken some time for character devolpment instead of running head on into the story. At one point is seems like the main character, Annie, is really nice, and then all of a suddon she is slutty and spazing out! I recommend this book, though, because it does have a VERY interesting plot even if it could use some work. This book could be for young men and women since it has murders and a love story going on at the same time.

When I first read the summary, I thought 'wow, it sounds really interesting.' But I'm sad to say, once I started reading, I had to force myself to finish. I was very put out when I found that the main characters fell madly in love in like two days, or around that. They meet and fall in love in that amount of time? It doesn't even remotely sound possible. It reminded me of Romeo and Juliet in that sense, a play that I found is horrid and horribly misinterpreted. Just like those two, these two I think merely lusted after one another, not fall in love. I think she had a good base plot going, but I think she could have worked a little more on gradually introducing the characters to one another.

This book contains not one but two suspenseful thrilling tales, of a young teen woman finding her true love in the past. Not just a silly teen romance for girls to enjoy, but murder, kiddnapping and more. Young men and women will love this 4 book tale of forbidden love that time will not allow. I would suggest that all ages read this story, but beware you will not wish to put it down. If you do read this book plan on getting the second volume too, so you won't have to suffer like I am waiting to go buy it.
